Sing along - "I'm dreaming of some free legal representation
for Christmas...just like the one I used to know..."
85% of the United States population identify themselves as Christian. They believe in the New Testament. The vast majority of the population of the US believe that Jesus is the son of God.
The founders of this country were all Christian and they formed this country accordingly. It is without argument. We are a Christian nation.
We are a majority rule country. Our elections, our government, our judiciary system - all majority rule. It is not minority rule if your feelings are hurt, if you want your own way really bad, or if you harangue enough.
What takes the cake in a velvet Elvis painting, shag carpet, and white vinyl landau top kinda way? The man who threatened to sue an airport because they had Christmas trees. He said he would sue the airport for having the Christmas trees unless they put an 8 foot menorah in the airport on display...EIGHT FOOT MENORAH...1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Apparently the man got his height idea from the approximate height of the TREES. So the airport running afraid of the man's legal threat-harping buckled and removed the trees. Then after public outcry the airport then reinstalled the trees.
Tacky.
People, a tree is the size, of, a tree. A menorah is about one foot tall. The reason the Christmas trees in the airport were probably about eight feet tall is because, there trees. How bout a UPS truck sized Koran in the food court?
Why not a blimp sized inflatable priest tethered to the roof of the airport to satisfy this 'mines bigger than yours is' wee-wee contest our mommy warned us about.
Could you imagine that giant Christmas tree in New York City's Rockefeller Center? Any ideas? C'mon, get creative.
Hey, I have a new highly successful PR campaign all designed for you, its called "stay at home".
He was on a news opinion show but strangely neglected to mention the 'law suit' portion of his grievance, and also inexplicably omitted the EIGHT FOOT TALL MENORAH portion of his demand.
This story is icky.
He said he wanted to add the menorah to "let in more light", let in more light by threatening a law suit unless you get your way - boy - let the light shine, such glorious illumination in this Christmas season. What one man calls a source of light another man may call a source of darkness...
I wonder if the same man is fighting against Hollywood for all the anti-family perversion and homosexual promotion flowing from that dark city. Or if he chooses to shine light on the devastating effects of late term abortion on our society. Or if the concerned man helps hold a candle to the crushing effects that misguided social programs have had on the nations inner cities...And the main stream media's support of all the above.
What is the his position on these Biblical issues?
These may be some examples of more fertile battlegrounds for lawsuit gamesmanship to "let in more light" than Christ-bashing...
Are you so self-loathing that your begging others to hate you first? You may need to go back to the doctors couch and tell how mommy was emotionally abusive, and you didn't get hugs or fun toys.
A plastic pink flamingo yard ornament has more class.
Most are not all driven to bicker and debate with intense neurotic negotiations to get our own way. This is not most people's way of life. Most are drawn to peace and grace, one's who have peace on this inside. It appears that this man is dealing with a void and that void is manifesting itself in un-brotherly conduct and strife. Also, sadly, he may have been a front man for some special interest organization.
Why was a Christmas tree even brought up in the same sentence as a lawsuit? Hundreds of millions of people in this country love Christmas trees. Why is a Christmas tree a tool for grievance? Why do anything that may make vulnerable or call into question something that brings joy to more than ninety percent of our population for a few weeks out of the year? Why use a Christmas tree for leverage?
A Christmas tree is one of the most pure symbols of our country and this guy wants to drag it into a court of law with some pro bono weasel attorney shaking off the needles before a judge.
"I demand that Charlie Brown also retrieves a menorah that is equally disheveled".
The size of the symbol is not what the message is, the point is how you conduct yourself with those around you. You know, 'play nice'. The Christmas tree is a tradition of the United States, a special time of year filled with giving and closeness. A time when everybody is just a little bit nicer to each other than usual. We all sort of come to acknowledge that we are a Christian nation and we have a very important thing in common. It is mass-intimacy for the vast majority. Why attack this?
You have garnished another symbol with fights, demands, threats, lawsuits and strife. What is your gain?
Our culture has been reduced to a very base level. Each special interest niche group bickering like children trying to get want they want. Now it's not the overall society that's priority, it's how do I get my particular way for my own specific wants.
HO HO HO...Happy Holidays. (PS - if you don't stop it, Santa isn't going to bring you any internal peace this year). This year Santa's bringing us all a sack of law degrees so us boys and girls can protect ourselves. Thank you Santa, we love you.

"Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas to all...and to all...file your notice of appeal before The Eighth District Court of Appeals...Ho Ho Ho"
